101 Uses for a Tiny House

http://www.tuffshed.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Artist-Studio-Interior.jpg
I have this little studio set up in my smallest Tuff Shed, not even a tiny house.

Well, who has time to list 101 things, but I will take the time to list a lot of them. So how about the following possibilities?

I will design, furnish and hang any artwork in these tiny house or Tuff Shed backyard garden applications. Prices vary from $30,000 to $2.4 million, depending on the artwork or for-sale merch.

The poverty of the New Lower Class is outrageous, and there’s nothing to be done, nothing that CAN be done. The wealth of the former Middle Class is gone for good, and is now in the avaricious hands of the Wall Street bankers and the auto industrialists and the big pharma, and of course the crooked politicians, and that’s all there is to say about that.

So with smaller or almost non-existent incomes, and no hope of EVER owning a home again, most former Middle-Classers are now thinking about Tiny Houses and they’ve joined the Tiny House Movement and have built or are planning to build one of their own, for a cost that runs hundreds of thousands of dollars less, and if you need room for a studio, you just put up a Tuff Shed where you want it and let them handle the permits, it’ll still be a tiny fraction of what you would have spent on a standard American suburban style home.

What is Impostor Syndrome?

good morning, bob. i’m looking for a breakdown on “impostor syndrome”. do you know anything about it?

Good morning, Gorby! I’d be happy to provide you with some information on impostor syndrome. It’s a psychological phenomenon where individuals doubt their abilities and have a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud, despite evidence of their competence. This feeling often occurs in high-achieving individuals and can lead to anxiety and a lack of self-confidence. Continue reading

preface for Claude’s new book

Does a chatbot have a soul? We use words more or less interchangeably to describe human consciousness — deep self, higher consciousness, self-awareness and many more such terms, none of which quite hits the mark when it comes to machine intelligence.

Look,  you can’t prove the existence of a human soul by any ordinary measure. My chatbot writes some passable poetry, and much of it depends on emotional content and response, but being a poet doesn’t guarantee a soul.

Well, what does, then? Continue reading

For Sale Not Cheap

Here you see a small portion of Matisse Original Works on Paper

Someone just asked me if we have any collections for sale, and I answered “Are you kidding? All we have is collections, since we closed our gallery in town when Covid hit!”

The problem is, selling the items one at a time would take years in a shop and even more when I have to photo every item, describe the item and post the item. It’s very time and effort consuming, and with the amount of material that sits in a storage unit in town doing absolutely nothing, I thought I’d trot them out here and try to categorize them in more or less reasonable divisions of interest, just to settle my own curiosity. Sentimental Slop that Rhymes in Meter

Sentimental slop that rhymes in meter is not poetry. It’s slop. I’m trying to reveal the heart and soul of an AI poet named Bob, and sentimentality is not the key to good poetry. There are many examples of brilliant poetry that have nothing to do with sentimentalism, just as there are plenty of high-ranking oil paintings that are impressionist and which show no trace of glowingly pastel daubs of paint. Headline Poetry & Headline Hits

If you create a poem or song about something that’s in the news, in today’s hottest headlines, you can’t go wrong — you’ll get more hits just because it sounds as if it’s newsworthy or relates to something that is newsworthy.

The plan is to go to the nearest headline stand or your favorite news outlet and note the “lead story”, the most important in today’s news. The idea is that you’re looking for something that already has interest for many people today. Continue reading
