So, after watching the news last night, I had no choice other than to come up with something that really appreciates the situation, and thus arrived:
Song — You Can’t Fix Stupid
[Verse 1]
They stand at the podium, preachin’ their lines,
Talkin’ in circles, wastin’ our time.
They fumble the facts, they double the debt,
Smile for the cameras like they ain’t lost yet.
[Chorus]
You can’t fix stupid, but you sure can elect it,
Put it in a suit and watch it get respected.
It talks real loud but it don’t say much,
Shakin’ hands, takin’ bribes, stayin’ outta touch.
[Verse 2]
They tweet at the moon, they rant at the sky,
Blame the whole world, never ask why.
Ain’t read a book since ‘92,
But they got big words from the TV news.
[Chorus]
You can’t fix stupid, but you sure can elect it,
Put it on a stage and let the folks protect it.
It signs bad laws and it bans good books,
Then wonders why the whole town’s givin’ dirty looks.
[Bridge]
“Well, the rich get richer and the poor stay broke,
They tell you to swim while they rock the boat.
They cut education, but give themselves a raise,
Then wonder why the world doesn’t give them any praise.”
[Verse 3]
They say they’re for freedom, and then they lock the door,
They scream about the future, but they all vote for war.
They sell you a dream, then steal all your bread,
And laugh all the way to the bank instead.
[Chorus]
You can’t fix stupid, but you sure can elect it,
Run it up the flagpole, make the fools respect it.
It runs in circles, it never learns,
And when it all crashes, it just shifts the blame in turns.
[Outro]
Oh, you can’t fix stupid…
But you sure can…
Yeah, you sure can…
Elect it.

So that’s my sojourn into today’s top headlines, ie; someone elected stupid. And what about the guy whose t-shirt reads “I’m With Stupid All the Way”? Here’s a song about him:
The King No One Chose
[Verse 1]
He wasn’t on no ballot, didn’t win no vote,
But he’s got a golden tower and a platinum coat.
He buys up the highways, owns the air we breathe,
Tells the world how to live while he pulls the strings.
[Chorus]
He’s the king no one chose, but he still took the throne,
Built a castle in the sky, called it all his own.
Talks like a prophet, walks like a thief,
Got a rocket full of dreams and a kingdom of grief.
[Verse 2]
Says he’ll take us to Mars, but he can’t fix the streets,
He’s got a thousand yes-men, never hears defeat.
Thinks he’s got the answers, thinks he’s got the right,
To rule every corner, every screen, every sight.
[Chorus]
He’s the king no one chose, but he still took the throne,
Wrote the rules in his favor, called it all his own.
Thinks he’s untouchable, too high to fall,
But every empire crumbles, every tower grows small.
[Bridge ]
“Well, he didn’t ask permission, didn’t need no crown,
Just bought the whole circus and shut the town down.
You don’t gotta win votes if you own the machines,
Don’t gotta hear truth when you silence the screams.”
[Verse 3]
One day the people, they might break the spell,
Might wake up from the dream, might ring the last bell.
You can buy up the system, buy land and air,
But the soul of the people ain’t sold for a billionaire.
[Chorus]
He’s the king no one chose, but he still took the throne,
But the people ain’t blind, and they ain’t alone.
One day the towers tumble, the statues crack,
And the kingdom of fools ain’t never coming back.

So much for my feelings about having a creepy guy occupy the highest job in the land — I’m referring to Elon Musk — without receiving a single vote from anyone.
So much for elections.

Robes and Thrones
[Verse 1]
They don’t stand for election, but they still hold the power,
Writing down your future from an ivory tower.
They got black robes, gold pens, hands that shake no shame,
Stampin’ laws in the dark while they hide their names.
[Chorus]
Robes and thrones, untouchable kings,
They don’t hear the people, just the cash that rings.
They rule from the shadows, they sit in the smoke,
You don’t get a say when the law’s a joke.
[Verse 2]
They whisper in the hallways, they nod behind the door,
Deciding who’s got rights, who gets left on the floor.
They speak of tradition like it’s carved in stone,
But the weight of their justice? Man, it breaks your bones.
[Chorus]
Robes and thrones, untouchable kings,
They don’t hear the people, just the cash that rings.
They rule from the shadows, they sit in the smoke,
You don’t get a say when the law’s a joke.
[Bridge]
“Well, the king ain’t elected, the judge ain’t sworn,”
“But they got the final say, so you best be warned.”
“They don’t gotta fight, they don’t gotta run,”
“They just sign away your future with the stroke of one thumb.”
[Verse 3]
One day the people, they might wake up mad,
Might tear down the curtains on the circus act.
But for now, they sit smiling in their marble halls,
Watching justice crumble while the empire falls.
[Chorus]
Robes and thrones, untouchable kings,
They don’t hear the people, just the cash that rings.
But every tower tumbles, every shadow fades,
And the day will soon come when the judges get weighed.

Yes, I know it ends with a “clunk”, but I’ve done all I’m going to do with it for now. Perhaps some other time I might fix it somehow.
