It’s Thursday again. The same thing happens to me every week, and I don’t know what’s causing it. I figure if I ignore it long enough, it will go away, but it never does.
And Thursday isn’t the only day giving me problems.
See, the problem arises as soon as you turn on your favorite news channel, and I don’t care if it’s Fox or MSNBC or your local gossip on facebook, the news is always going to be bad.
How else to build an audience? Size of audience determines how much an advertiser is going to have to pay for advertising on the platform.
If you’re ever going to sell your T shirts, you have to find out, and fast, how it all works, and I’m here to give you the basics.
I’m limiting my comments to T shirts, because it’s easier to follow and make experiments of your own.
First of all, your tees HAVE to be personalized and customizable, or you won’t sell a single one.
Secondly, they have to have a wide appeal, big audience, and yet be a niche product. Not easy to find, this requires that you be very clever in what your shirts proclaim.
Branding is important, but can’t interfere with the design that’s being peddled. You have to find a “look” that is your own and that will immediately identify it as your work.
Now all you need is a constant stream of passers-by, both online and in person, and you’re off to a good start. Failing that aforementioned “constant stream of customers”, you might have trouble moving your merch, in which case I recommend advertising on google.
No money? No problem. Merely make a bunch of PINTEREST pointers and point them at your merch sales page, and send something to all of your social media platforms.
Having done that, it’s also a good idea to bring your T shirts to work, just in case a co-worker forgot their shirt that morning.
But there is always the rather dim and distant possibility that an INFLUENCER will spot your product and decide to include it in their marketing and advisory postings.
If that doesn’t happen, don’t worry. All you need do is to become an influencer your own self — not that hard to do, with some application and effort.
Failing that, there’s always putting a folding table out in front of your house or apartment and standing there, yelling “tee shirts, half price!”.
I have found that I can sell T shirts for half what I pay for them, and make up the difference in sheer volume.
You think that’s something? I can sell jewelry for LESS than half what I paid to make it, and sometimes less than that, and still make a profit in the long run, at least according to my calculations.
So in the midst of misery, I can also sell places of REFUGE, in the form of other worlds, some fantastical and some historical.
There’s nothing quite as relaxing as killing a zillion zombies on a dark and distant planet. That’s why I designed “Zombie Wars”, so that there would be lots and lots of mayhem.
