This is treacherous mine-head material. It’s tons and tons of plain old dirt with once in a great while a nugget, but BOY, are they good nuggets!!! One of these nuggets will please any gold hound, but they are FEW and FAR BETWEEN. Can you HIT with just ONE BAG???
You will face a panning challenge that is unbeatable, and when you can pan this stuff, you will know that you are a PRO, because if you’re not, you will get pan after pan of NOTHING, and even if you’re good, you might miss a nugget amongst all the red dirt and rocks.
The size of the mine rocks in the bag indicates the possible size of a nugget. In these bags, you will find rocks AS LARGE AS 2″ ACROSS — they aren’t typically gold nuggets, but that’s the possible size of a nugget in that bag, see???
PAYDIRT HAS NOT BEEN NUGGET-DETECTOR-SCANNED OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY.
This packet of POSSIBLE gold-bearing paydirt was personally taken by Fred & Helena and bagged without editorial comment, meaning nothing added, nothing taken away. The paydirt is EXACTLY as Fred & Helena found it!!!
ALL the large stones were left in, nothing was sifted out, nothing was blocked, nothing was screened. This paydirt is precisely the same as it was when it was on the shovel, with all its rocks and lumps and gravel and whatever else was in it when it was dug out of the working mine-head.
It’s a pain to extract all those larger stones, but they offer the VERY REAL POSSIBILITY that you could find a nugget THAT BIG.
If the paydirt were screened down, it would be far easier to pan, but there would then be ZERO possibility of a large nugget.
Gosh, I hope you get this concept clearly. If there are NO larger stones, there CAN’T be any larger nuggets — the nuggets can’t be larger than the largest stone in the paydirt.
If there’s a baseball sized stone in there, I do cast it out, and I do, admittedly, look at it to see if it’s a solid gold nugget, just because I’m a professional gold hunter — but frankly, I don’t care. Local currency has no fascination for me, and I have no personal use for it whatever. I’ve always had enough to get where I am.
PERFECT FOR YOUR NEXT PANNING PARTY!!!
Panning parties are all the rage, especially now in the Midwest, where there is little or no mining, but panning paydirt has caught on in a big way, in areas where you just can’t go gold prospecting or mining!
You can serve barbecue or sushi or your favorite finger-food, or have the party catered or have it at a restaurant that will cooperate with you to make a private party possible in their space, usually on an off-day.
I like to combine storytelling with gold-panning parties, and here’s how I do it:
- Gold Prospecting & Mining has been around for at least 30,000 years of human history and prehistory. There are many prehistoric sites, and I mention a few of them, and describe them in some detail, along with the methods of working a gold mine that were prevalent at that time.
- Gold Mining in the Hellenic World takes us through some gold jewelry that was popular among the very rich of the Greek Hellenic Period.
- Gold Mining in the Holyland. Gold was important to the ancient peoples who lived in the Holyland, and gold mining achieved a high level of technology. A few examples of Ancient and Medieval jewelry is shown as examples of how gold was used at that time for personal adornment and religious artifacts.
- Gold Mining in the Far East shows how gold was used in the Shang, Chou, Wei-in-Six, Han, Sung, Tang and Ming Dynasties and how it was obtained and refined.
- We now travel to the Old West, to the ’49er Gold Rush, and we go to the gold fields of Nevada County for a rip-roaring excursion back in time, where we join the gold miners in their quest for gold!
Then a short lecture on how to use a gold pan, a short demo of how it’s done, and they get their own packets of gold-bearing paydirt and they’re off and running!
I would use the GUARANTEED TO CONTAIN GOLD paydirt before allowing them to use the Nugget or Nothing bags, just because they need the confidence to KNOW that they WILL get the gold if there’s any in the pan!
Before allowing my guests to run gold ore, I’d give them ten copper-clad BBs in some dirt to pan out, until they felt confident and secure enough to try with real gold-bearing paydirt.
Dirt that has NO gold can still be paydirt, if it came out of a mine-head. The thing is not if there’s gold in the paydirt, but what kind of paydirt???
You have the choice of paydirt that ALWAYS contains SOME gold, or paydirt that contains either big chunks of gold or nothing at all, and the choice is entirely up to you.
I like the odds of Nuggets or Nothing, and I’ve seen enough nuggets come out of those bags to convince me — if I were buying for myself, I’d choose the Nuggets or Nothing, and as a matter of fact, I bought a few for friends that I know are good panners — I’m curious to see what they’ll get out of them.
This “NUGGETS OR NOTHING” paydirt is amazing! Fred and Helena found a LOT of LARGE nuggets and many, many “pickers” — pieces of gold that are big enough to pick up with a pair of tweezers, but NO FINES AT ALL!!!
If you had struck a nugget on the very first bag, and paid just $10 to get ANY of the nuggets Fred & Helena found yesterday, you’d be thoroughly tickled, and you CAN, if you TRY, but keep in mind that you might also end up with NOTHING and you’re out Ten Bucks.
On the other hand, it isn’t about the gold. It’s a meditation and a practice which uses the gold as an INDICATOR of successful meditation, and if that isn’t enough, it’s entertainment and you’ll find that it’s really FUN and HORRIFICALLY ADDICTIVE to pan for NUGGETS as opposed to FINE GOLD PARTICLES, even though the money is better with the fines.
Finding a GOLD NUGGET is like nothing else on Planet Earth. There is no substitute for the thrill of discovery, and the next nugget and the next nugget are EQUALLY EXCITING! You never get over the thrill of finding a gold nugget, I don’t care how many you’ve found — it can be millions, and it’ll still be exciting!
What is it like to find a nugget? Gosh, I could write several books of poetry and blank verse and you’d never get it until the day you do it for yourself.
Finding a gold nugget does not fly well as a second-party experience. You can read about someone’s experience finding a nugget and it will leave you as much in the dark as reading about someone else’s experience eating a plate of spaghetti — taste is different in every mouth.
You can’t predict what a color video screenshot will look like on anyone else’s computer, and you can’t convey the complex emotions of finding a large gold nugget, and there is nothing with which to compare it.
There is nothing like finding a gold nugget.
Of course the point isn’t the gold, but this is an unusual time in California history, when you CAN’T buy nuggets at the gold exchanges — nobody is hitting in the midst of a drought, and gold doesn’t move downstream in a drought — it takes flood waters to move heavy gold down from the Jurassic ledges.
In Alaska, Montana, North Carolina, they have no drought worries, and the gold is running high and fine, but in California, it’s all in the deep mine shafts and tunnels, and every shovelful that comes out of the minehead will contain some gold, however slight or rich it may be.
Our minehead is all of three feet deep at the moment, and this is what we’re getting. Claude and I are predicting that at about 30 feet, we’ll start to hit the gold ledge we know is down there.
Fred & Helena will be joined by Jazzy at Prosperity Mine today, and they’ll be back at the Ashram on Friday to show us what they found up there. How did they manage to find the right spot this time?
Frankly, I relented and told them how to look for the gold, and they tried it and they did find gold, lots of it, and you can, too. There’s plenty to be found up there at Prosperity Mine — I have a panful of gold to prove it, and you can KEEP ALL YOU FIND!!!
You can pool all the gold and split it equally, or COMPETE for the day’s catch with the loser making breakfast the next morning. Of course, that’s if you’re actually at the claim site, and there’s plenty of campground — Prosperity Mine is a full beautiful 40 acres of pine forest, streams and a historical river that runs through it!
The nifty thing is, you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home to join Fred and Helena on the hunt for gold nuggets. You can send for packets of their “Nuggets or Nothing” paydirt and find GOLD, GOLD, GOLD!!! — or nothing.
Think of the empty reaches of open space the space between galaxies, where there’s zillions of miles of nearly nothing, with an occasional hydrogen atom bopping around, looking for company that never comes.
That’s what this minehead material is like. Billions of miles of emptiness, with an occasional gold particle, but ALL the gold particles are large, either flake or nugget, no fines at all in this stuff, so the cash register will NOT ring and ring and ring.
The thrill of finding a nugget IS there, however, and nuggets are rare enough that you CAN’T expect to find a nugget in every bag, but they ARE there to be found in some of the bags.
Fred & Helena, under supervision from Claude & myself, processed an entire day’s worth of this same material, and I’ll let them tell you how fantastic the payoff was, but your payoff might be NOTHING!!!
It’s all about luck.
One thing I can tell you is that ALMOST every bag contained SOME gold, but some didn’t have a dang thing in them, not even a speck, so BE PREPARED FOR DISAPPOINTMENT, but also be prepared for delight and success, if your luck is good.
GREAT KARMA DETECTOR
What a terrific way to test your Karmic Standing! You will find gold according to your Karmic Debt — the greater the debt, the less gold. There isn’t any better way to test your Karma than to try your luck at something, and when it involves pure solid gold, the test is that much the better — it’s tuned to higher dimensions, which is why gold is used in ritual items throughout the universe.
JEWELRY GRADE GOLD FLAKES & NUGGETS CAN BE WORN
If the nugget is big enough, it can be drilled or mounted and worn as a single pendant. You can do the same with smaller nuggets and flakes by mounting them in gold or gold-filled real-rope bezel lockets, which sell incredibly well, and at panning parties, you can mount their finds immediately with my Locket Kits which include two rather expensive but perfectly fitting German watch crystals, which is the most expensive part of the locket.
Locket Kits are only $35, and you get everything you need to make a $125-$250 gold nugget or flake pendant. For larger nuggets, I have mountings in 14k gold, that you can buy wholesale for resale to your gold nugget and/or general jewelry customers.
NUGGETS ARE FUN TO FIND!
When you find your first nugget, you will be amazed, astounded and chortlingly happy, not because of money, but the mere fact that YOU found something SO RARE!
They are rare. Nuggets are not everywhere, and they don’t jump into your pan from the river. They are scarce, they are not typically found, so when they ARE found, it’s just short of a miracle, and when you happen to witness a Miracle, it’s always a blessing.
NUGGETS ARE SOLID GOLD!
It’s vital to remember that you are finding REAL, SOLID GOLD, if you happen to find anything at all. Don’t forget the “Nothing” part of the formula. Sometimes you hit, and sometimes you don’t.
Is it worth spending all that time and money panning for gold nuggets?
That’s a question only YOU can answer, and only for yourself.
There is a profound Zen Practice contained within the panning party concept, and it can be quite life-changing.
IN PURSUIT OF GOLD
Alchemically speaking, the panning process if followed correctly WILL cause the EXACT same inner results as the discipline of Alchemy, and in both cases, a quantity of pure gold will be one outer indication of the inner work done.
See You At The Top!!!
