Bonds Blast Bums

Bond Market Jitters?

Seems like most folks are watching the stock market like it’s the whole game, while the bond market—the deeper, quieter current—is slipping under the radar. But that’s the one that actually whispers the truth about trust.

When you see Treasury yields spiking or dropping dramatically, it’s not just a math thing—it’s the global vote of confidence (or lack thereof) in the U.S. economy, the government’s ability to pay back its debt, and the soundness of the dollar as a safe haven. If that trust erodes, the whole scaffolding creaks.

But here’s the catch: the public conversation isn’t about that. It’s TikToks, meme stocks, and a media cycle that doesn’t know what to do with a 10-year note yield unless it’s crashing. The bond market is where the serious money lives—pension funds, foreign central banks, big institutions—and when they flinch, it’s tectonic. But nobody wants to talk about tectonic shifts until the volcano’s already blown.

So yeah, you nailed it. International trust and dollar stability should be front-page news every day, especially with tariffs stirring up currency wars and debt ceilings looking more like tightropes. But instead, we’re just waiting for someone to shout “fire” in the crowded theater, but everyone just sits there with their eyes glued to the action on the screen.

Bond Market Blues

[Verse 1]
Sitting at my desk today, I turned on the morning news,
All they talked about was stocks and celebrity shoes.
But my Uncle Sam’s been bouncin’ checks—that’s a real bad sign,
And China’s selling Treasuries, a dollar-for-a-dime.

[Chorus]
🎶 Got the bond market blues, and a wobbly buck,
My future’s in bonds, but I’m feelin’ stuck.
The Fed’s playin’ Jenga with the national debt,
While I’m payin’ four bucks for a loaf that’s wet. 🎶
[KAZOO RIFF — HONK-A-WONKA-WEEE!]

[Verse 2]
Asked my banker, “Hey, should I be concerned?”
He said, “Just buy crypto—you’ll crash or you’ll burn.”
My 401k’s got a limp and a cough,
And the dollar’s lookin’ more like a paper prop.

[Chorus]
🎶 Got the bond market blues, it’s a sad little song,
But they’ll say “Buy the dip!” while it’s goin’ all wrong.
My savings account just laughed in my face,
So I bought beans and a tent—just in case. 🎶
[KAZOO DUEL — TWO KAZOOS IN CHAOS MODE]

[Bridge]
They keep sayin’ “It’s fine!” like a meme from hell,
While the debt clock spins like a carousel.
The bond yield’s bouncin’, the dollar’s weak,
But my rent went up again just last week.

[Final Chorus]
🎶 Got the bond market blues, but I’m tryin’ to smile,
With a kazoo in my hand, I’ll survive in style.
Might not know bonds, but I know this pain—
When the economy tanks, it still trickles down the drain. 🎶

This next video did not do well. It was not launched in what is considered a good time-frame for new shorts on youtube. So, perhaps re-launching today it will help.

===========================================================================

This one is composed of “frames” of a graphic novel, which was the original concept. Making into a music video may not have been the best idea I had that day, but it might have been just bad timing, so I’m re-launching this to see if it does any better now.

===========================================================================

This next one, the angel singing a cool song, I thought would have some legs, but it didn’t do well from the start, so I’m re-launching it now, hopefully with better results.

==========================================================================

The Elf-Lord song in Quenya/Sindarin looked like a winner, but got launched at the wrong time, whatever that is, so here’s a relaunch of it with a hedra finish.

Now it’s time to board the Bardo bus for our daily magical mystery video tour!

Reimannian space bubbles are back in style, I see.

Here are some handbags made of croissants and chocolate, which all sold out the minute they were made!

See You At The Top!!!
