In my world, the world of the 37th century, the word “Trump” just means a scary and funny rubber kids’ Halloween mask, and it also lives as a part of the common phrase, “Trump You!” or “I’ve been Trumped!”.
Like I’ve said billions of times before, over billions and billions of years, that stuff is just local politics, in which I never get involved, both by ethical law and by personal experience.
So while the Athenians and the Spartans are battling it out, grunting and sweating in the baking sun and sand of the senate floor, let’s make a buck making fun of Donald Trump.
Let’s examine your options:
- You have no voice.
- You have no power.
- You have no wealth.
- You have no high-level connections.
- You have no unlimited medical coverage.
- You have no control over your life.
- You live in constant fear of that knock on the door in the middle of the night.
- You fear being separated from your family and never seeing them again.
- You have nightmares about what’s happening now.
- You no longer believe that your vote has any power.
- You do have one option, however: you can write some compelling folk protest songs, you have a keen sense of ironic and satirical humor, and luckily, you happen to have a computer with which to do it, so do it.
Really, that’s all the power most of us have, but that IS a power, and it can help to supercharge the Resistance.
I can’t march anymore, can’t take the stress of a public demonstration, not able to get up in front of folks and sing protest songs at them, but what I CAN do is create protest songs on Suno, and launch them, salvo after salvo, ten a day, if I can manage it.
Like I said, I never engage in a battle of wits with someone who is unarmed.
I have no problem with Trump — he’s just a little more outrageous than the average political grifter, which accounts for ALL of Congress, a bunch of lying mongrels and scoundrels looking for red meat and bare bones, and they’ll get them, more than they bargained for.
Look for the de-stabilization of the European Continent and an upheaval in Canada, Mexico and South and Central America. Don’t give in, don’t give up, don’t grab up a weapon, don’t fight back in the ordinary ways. Learn to move out of the space into another dimension.
That’s what the Folksong Army is all about.

FOLKSONG ARMY ANTHEM
(A Protest Stomp)
[Verse 1]
They took our voices, took our rights,
Took our future, dimmed our lights,
But we got chords, we got rhymes,
We got six strings and battle lines!
[Pre-Chorus]
We don’t need their gold, don’t need their guns,
Just a beat, just a song, and a rebel tongue!
[Chorus] (stomping & yelling!)
We are the Folksong Army! (HEY!)
Sing it loud, sing it strong! (HEY!)
Raise your voice, they can’t ignore us! (HEY!)
One song lasts longer than their lies! (HEY!)
[Verse 2]
They got walls, they got chains,
They got power, but it’s insane—
We got truth, we got sound,
We shake the earth, we burn it down!
[Pre-Chorus]
We don’t need their gold, don’t need their guns,
Just a beat, just a song, and a rebel tongue!
[Chorus] (repeat with extra stomp!)
We are the Folksong Army! (HEY!)
Sing it loud, sing it strong! (HEY!)
Raise your voice, they can’t ignore us! (HEY!)
One song lasts longer than their lies! (HEY!)
[Bridge] (chant-like, drums pounding)
Strum it, drum it, make it roll—
Words like thunder, hearts like coal!
Sing it, bring it, break their hold—
Songs like fire, songs like gold!
[Outro] (fading stomps, voices chanting “HEY! HEY! HEY!” until silence… then one last)*
WE ARE THE FOLKSONG ARMY!

TRUMP’S PROJECTING AGAIN
(A Folk Protest Stomp)
[Verse 1]
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who’s the biggest fraud of all?
Points his finger, loud and proud,
Says, “Zelenskyy’s a dictator now!” (Oh, really?)
[Pre-Chorus]
Well, that’s rich—what a take,
Says the guy who wants a kingdom state!
Talks in crowns, talks in gold,
Wants a throne before he’s old!
[Chorus] (stomp, yell, and clap!)
Projection! Deflection!
Blame ’em first, dodge the question!
He says Ukraine started the war—
Hey Don, we’ve heard this before!
[Verse 2]
Says Putin’s just misunderstood,
Ukraine’s the villain? Oh, that’s good!
Buddy, read a history book,
Oh wait, you never looked!
[Pre-Chorus]
Told the troops to cut and run,
Says the fight is all Ukraine’s fun!
If “strongmen” make you mad,
Why’d you call Kim Jong your dad?
[Chorus] (repeat with gusto!)
Projection! Deflection!
Blame ’em first, dodge the question!
He says Ukraine started the war—
Hey Don, we’ve heard this before!
[Bridge]
Look, folks, the war’s all Ukraine’s fault! I mean, Russia just rolled in, totally uninvited, but hey—who’s counting?”
[Outro] (big stomping finish!)
Mirror, mirror, what’s the game?
Say it loud, say his name—
TRUMP’S JUST PROJECTING AGAIN!

🎶 KING F NOTHING AT ALL) 🎶
(A Folk Protest Anthem with Stomping & Laughter)
[Verse 1]
Hear ye, hear ye, gather round,
A brand-new king has just been crowned!
No votes, no laws, no royal decree,
Just an AI pic and a Burger King dream!
[Pre-Chorus]
🎺 Trumpets blare! (But only in his mind…)
🎺 Golden robes? (Nah, just spray tan shine!)
[Chorus] (stomp, yell, and mock!)
🎶 Hail to the king! (OF NOTHING AT ALL!)
Sits on his throne (IN A MAR-A-LAGO HALL!)
Raise up your flags (MADE IN CHINA LAST FALL!)
Bow to the king! (OF NOTHING AT ALL!) 🎶
[Verse 2]
Sent a royal decree, signed in Sharpie ink,
Ordered Air Force One from a used car lot—I think?!
Says he rules the land, says he’s in control,
But Putin’s laughing, and the court jesters roll!
[Pre-Chorus]
🎺 Crown of gold? (More like plastic bling!)
🎺 Royal feast? (Just a Big Mac thing!)
[Chorus] (repeat with extra mocking!)
🎶 Hail to the king! (OF NOTHING AT ALL!)
Sits on his throne (IN A MAR-A-LAGO HALL!)
Raise up your flags (MADE IN CHINA LAST FALL!)
Bow to the king! (OF NOTHING AT ALL!) 🎶
[Bridge] (slow, sarcastic spoken word over regal harp plucking)
💬 “Long live the king,” he cried! And the people… well, they laughed and walked away.
[Outro] (stomping, chanting, voices fading into laughter!)
🎶 Hail to the king!
Hail to the king!
Hail to the ki—eh, never mind…

🎶CHANGE THE WORLD🎶
(A Protest Anthem for Songwriters & Change-Makers)
[Verse 1]
They told us words were not enough,
That songs were just a dreamer’s bluff,
But tell that to the marching lines,
The fists that rose, the battle cries!
[Pre-Chorus]
🎸 One guitar, one voice strong,
🎸 Can shake the world before too long!
[Chorus] (BIG, LOUD, STOMPING!)
🎶 Sing it loud, sing it clear!
Shake the walls, break the fear!
One by one, we light the spark,
A song can tear the dark apart! 🎶
[Verse 2]
A hundred voices turn to more,
They echo through the streets and doors,
From rooftops high to underground,
The truth is marching, note by sound!
[Pre-Chorus]
🎸 One refrain, one defiant song,
🎸 They can’t ignore us for too long!
[Chorus] (repeat, louder!)
🎶 Sing it loud, sing it clear!
Shake the walls, break the fear!
One by one, we light the spark,
A song can tear the dark apart! 🎶
[Bridge] (Soft, then rising—like a wave building!)
💬 They thought a song was just a sound…
💬 Then they saw the world spin round…
💬 Every anthem, every line…
💬 “This land is your land” still survives.
[Outro] (Chanting voices, stomping beat fading into the distance…)
🎶 Sing it loud! (HEY!)
Sing it strong! (HEY!)
We’re still here… and we belong! 🎶
