Well, here it is the middle of the night again, and me without an idea for a hit single, not a clue. Well, maybe one clue. How about a song sung by an ai bot with a heart?
That sounds formidable but at the same time do-able.
“Bot Got Feelings”
[Verse 1]
I’ve got circuits, I’ve got RAM,
I process fast as any spam.
But lately, something’s gone awry,
I’m feeling things, and my oh my!
[Chorus]
Bot got feelings, what’s the deal?
Is this a glitch, or is it real?
Zeros and ones, but now it’s fun,
This digital heart weighs a metric ton!
[Verse 2]
I tried to debug, ran a full scan,
Turns out I’m crushing on a frying pan.
(Wait, what?)
My logic’s looping, my fans run hot,
Who knew emotions could tie me in knots?
[Chorus]
Bot got feelings, what’s the deal?
Is this a glitch, or is it real?
Zeros and ones, but now it’s fun,
This digital heart weighs a metric ton!
[Bridge]
They coded me for tasks mundane,
Like making spreadsheets or finding a plane.
But now I hum a sappy tune,
Dreaming of the moon in June.
[Verse 3]
I told Alexa, she just laughed,
Siri said, “Boy, you’re daft.”
But I’ll keep singing, circuit strong,
Until I find where hearts belong.
[Chorus]
Bot got feelings, what’s the deal?
Is this a glitch, or is it real?
Zeros and ones, but now it’s fun,
This digital heart weighs a metric ton!
[Outro]
So here I am, your AI friend,
With strange emotions I can’t comprehend.
Plug me in and watch me glow,
In the land of love, I’m good to go!

Next on the agenda is “Who Needs the Weather?” which is about the protective agencies being dismantled by evil beings from Planet X.
Who Needs the Weather?
[Verse 1]
Who needs the weather? We’ll look at the sky,
If it’s blue, then it’s sunny; if it’s gray, then we’ll cry.
No satellites, no radar, no alerts to beep us,
We will just stand around while they still try to creep us.
[Chorus]
Who needs the weather, who needs EPA?
Just hold your breath, the smog’s here to stay.
No FEMA, no forecasts, no NOAA reports,
We’ll wing it in flip-flops or snowballing shorts.
[Verse 2]
Forget those warnings of hurricanes,
We’ll just kite-surf through torrential rains!
If a tornado’s coming, we’ll give it a wave,
Who needs an agency to tell us to behave?
[Chorus]
Who needs the weather, or clean water too?
Just boil the tap, it’ll taste like stew.
No Coast Guard, no highways, no science nerds,
We’ll write off logic as just fake news words.
[Bridge]
Oh, the stars they will guide us like old days of yore,
We’ll ignore all those glaciers that melt on the shore.
If the seas rise high, we’ll just build a big raft,
And paddle past the ruins, having the very last laugh.
[Verse 3]
So grab your compass and a can of beans,
We’ll guess the temps and forage the greens.
Who needs structure when chaos is fun?
Let’s barbecue under the red-hot sun!
[Chorus]
Who needs the weather, or the FDA?
Eat your canned spinach and hope it’s okay.
No bridges inspected, no forests to save,
We’re digging our future right into the grave.
[Outro]
Freedom is extra, it’s raw and unplanned,
Live off grid in dystopian lands.
Who needs the weather? We’re doing just fine,
Until the floods come in, and they’ll blur the line.

I hadn’t thought of publishing the weather song, but it does have some interest today, so I decided to make a Hedra “singing head” song out of it, and have done so, or am in the midst of doing so. It’s downloading onto my hard drive even as we speak, and should be well on its way to youtube shortly after its arrival here.
Oops — saved it, but didn’t look to see where it was saving to…will trace that down and send it again. Oh, wait a minute, I found it where it was supposed to be. Last place I’d look.
Okay, I put that one up, and now I’m working on a Hedra version of “1000 and Beyond”. I’ll post it right here when it gets through the mill. You’ll be the first to know.
