Oh, just a minute — it occurs to me just now that it hasn’t yet been uploaded on a download site.
Well, it will soon be available, one way or another.
To anticipate a question — the reason I have them in MP3 format is to make them less troublesome in your phone’s memory, but if that’s not a factor, let me know.
They will be processed into WAV files for the download, or so I understand. From that point on, I have no idea what happens to them, other than it’s a LOT of work to get them out there.
Hey, hold on a minute! I just came across 100 of my USB cards, each of which can hold several gigs of stuff, so my 270M will fit easily on it.
You can load the songs onto your computer, and save the signed, identified and dated USB card as a genuine and rare collectible — I don’t expect a landslide of public interest, so your copy will be at least somewhat rare.
The USB has special places for the title, my signature and the date on one side, photo on the other side.
So fifty-five songs on a USB — I don’t know prices these days, I never shopped before, why should I start now?
We’ll figure out a fair price, keeping in mind that it’s a non-fungible because of the signature and number written by hand on the back of the USB.
If you’ve never bought one of my USB cards, you’ll appreciate the power it gives you to create digital content and deliver it as you would a CD or DVD, but it’s a lot smaller, and it ships in an ordinary letter envelope, which brings the price of postage down somewhat.
Now, about the music making and song writing …
The whole point of my dissertation on poetry and music over the past several weeks was that the general effect of the song is much more important than the particular music that drives the song.
Constructing the lyrics is 90 percent of the song. I hear the groans already, but if you analyze it, you’ll see the point.
I had a band that played all kinds of variations, never the actual tune. Now, that produces the potential for fun.
My “Proof of Pudding” is that you can give the same song to a half dozen singers and bands — all of which have their own arrangement, and you lose control of the tune after a while, especially in jazz interpretations.
Our live band never played the same song the same way twice in a row. So is it the words, or the space between the words?
The answer is, yes.

You get the benefit of creating a collectible, and at the same time, your client avoids the download and gets to load your songs into their computers, pads, cell phones or whatever.
