So tonight I’m cooking up a batch of personalities and entertainers to present to you my latest essays in the field of poetry and song.
Don’t forget that poetry only recently has been spoken word — for many thousands of years, poetry was something you either sang or chanted or both.

And now a song that I came up with earlier tonight. The backstory here is that after some twenty tries for an image of a young country girl who doesn’t wear a Stetson, I left the farmer thing entirely behind, and went for a Broadway musical star, Janie Winestock. I hope you like it.
