A Flurry of Recent Songs…

Sure, I know, on several of these songs, I posted them a day or two late, but I had to wait for the video to fully assemble, or something. Anyhow, it took a while.

In the meantime, I also managed to squeak out a song or two that might survive the ages — or at least until spring.

I’m hoping you’re enjoying the songs not only as entertainment but as a challenge, to go thou and do likewise.

In other words, try it, you’ll like it.

Actually, you might hate it.

Either way, I can’t be bothered. Work it out for yourself.

The songs I’m producing now are basically social/cultural notes I’m passing to myself, encapsulated in a harmless whimsical tune — with arrangements.

I will, of course, post some amusing videos as well as these song videos of mine, which I’m hoping you will visit in person and like and subscribe as you wish.

Remember that little N scale choo-choo train you had that went round and round the base of the Christmas tree?

Well, now if you take a look on youtube, you’ll see gigantic computerized train layouts with all sorts of working parts within the scenery.

Some of those layouts are the size of an entire building.

I’m not suggesting you build a model railroad, just mentioning it because this is the time of year when people think about these things.

They also think about food. Mostly about food. Chiefly about food. Food.

Okay, so one thing I might pursue tonight in the sound studio would be a song about holiday food.

Well, we’ll see about that.

If I do happen to write some songs — or a song — tonight, I’ll play them at the morning zoom meeting, as is my custom.

Then the following day, they appear on youtube and in my blog, and that’s the way we’ve been working it these several weeks now since I resurrected my poet/songwriter/record producer character.

Well, like I said, I didn’t get these videos out in time, but I have stubbornly insisted on putting them out, even though they are quite late.

This next one’s about green. If you have an aversion to climate change, you’ll definitely appreciate this offering.

There is today so much controversy over the term “garbage” to mean a person, place or thing, that I thought I might add some confusion to the mix.

And now I’ll post a few funnies in here, so we finish with a chuckle.

This NYC walking tour happens to go exactly the same way as my walk home from Downtown Community School. You can see the red brick Stuytown buildings ahead of you when you’re walking on Avenue A, which is clearly marked with a tab at the bottom of the video screen.

See You At The Top!!!
