In 1947, Dumont studios in New York City started airing their first tv shows. I knew both Captain Videos — the first Captain Video died in the part — and was a frequent visitor to the Peanut Gallery when Howdy Doody first appeared.

I also attended broadcasts of “Magic Cottage” and “Mr. I Magination’s only broadcast from nyc, Kukla Fran and Ollie and our friends did the Pinhead & Foodini show in uptown Manhattan.
