ESCAPE! Videos #36

Think of organic life as a play, and yourself as an actor in that play. You play many parts in many plays, but you’re thoroughly type-cast, meaning that you don’t have to do anything special to play that part that you call “you” — not to worry, your habits will undoubtedly carry you through.

The character is not the actor. The actor is not the character. Good professional theater means doing a part without revealing or displaying the actor.

Hey, do you remember the kid’s game, “I Made You Look”? There’s a popular song that says exactly that, and you may be old enough to remember Carol Channing’s comedy routine of the same name and tag-line.

If you examine what we’re doing on youtube, that’s the very game we’re playing, working first to obtain 1,000 subscribers and secondly to achieve 4,000 viewing hours on our videos, which might take a while, if you’re a slow worker — anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of years.

We’re doing that only now, because things are different now. These days, there’s a chance to put a tip jar up on every one of your regular videos and maybe on shorts, too, I haven’t tried it yet.

Did You Know …

that if you click on the video maker’s name on the lower left of the #shorts video, you’ll instantly go to the maker’s channel, to the homepage — and that’s all you need to complete the cycle and get them to your website.

In any case, you now can become a real online subway busker. The “Thanks” button can yield you anywhere from a couple of bucks to $500 cash, less 30%, which is youtube’s cut.

There’s great potential for nonprofit donation things, too — be on the lookout for them! I’ll be working with these ideas at the morning meeting —  in the meantime, enjoy these videos I’ve posted here, all of which could be of some use to you in the therapeutic exercise of building your own youtube channel.

What you have to do in order to qualify for monetization is the same as you’d put yourself through in any spiritual discipline — it takes time, perseverance and willpower, but you can do this.

What happens is that you create a backdrop for your dance, or find one in the ashram, and then dress your avatar as you will, and play the animations through the avatar, then edit and upload with music bed, simple as pie, as I’ll be demonstrating as often as needed.

So here is a set of animation dances that are very realistic and give weight and balance to your dancer, starting with the Vista Animations MOCAP (that means “MOtion CAPture”, the first of which is “Gaga Sexy Dances” available in the second life marketplace, of course.

So how about those dance moves? Not bad, eh? Now take a look at these “Urban Sexy Dance” moves by Vista Animations MOCAP:

That’s a lot of dancing, but you need to know what’s available before you land on a style or pattern. Here’s another example, One Pound Fish, a product from A&M MOCAP, which is where I get most of my dance animations.

Here’s a MOCAP production based on a jazz piece with nice staging and presentation, solid music base, and excellent lighting.

This’ll take only a minute, but it’s definitely worth watching — Whitney’s Dance, from A&M MOCAP on the Sl marketplace.

Can you do a striptease? Sure you can, with the burlesque packages you’ll find among the various makers of the dance software.

But hey, you say you love that Uptown Funk? Then you need these animations by A&M.

Want something a little more “gangnam”? No problem, you can buy this on the A&M page on the marketplace, and it won’t cost much, plus you get all the use out of it making your high-views videos.

One important point — your #Shorts views don’t count until you reach your monetization goal of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watching time, but after that, they do count, at least as far as I can tell, toward total hours watched, but be careful — the rules change midstream all the time.

When you get monetized, you can put up a tip jar on every regular video you make. You can send people there to deliberately put a donation in the cup, or let them find it however they do.

The idea is to expand your circle, get your influence out there just a little, and provide some help and guidance, a little relief from the suffering and misery — that’s a good start on bringing your spiritual presence up and being a source of blessings.

If you’re in it just for yourself, you’re going to be disappointed at the end. Working for others and working for The Work is the cure.

See You At The Top!!!
