There will be a lot of new folks visiting the Ashram today, so I thought a short tour of some of the high points might be in order… Click the thingy to read more about it…
Here’s our BardoTown Tour Guide, Jenny — she owns “Jenny’s Place” in WarfTown, as you may already know… She’s facing the street where you’ll find “Gorby’s Place”, a jazz and blues venue here in Prosperity Ashram.
This is my little jazz club, “Gorby’s Place”, where you’ll find me most all the time these days, working out the performance bugs in the system. This is where I live.
Here’s a dance dojo at the Academy Level. There are dozens of dance studios here.
Learning to navigate the stairs is one major learning curve. Don’t try this until after you’ve adjusted your viewer properly. You’ll be getting instructions on this and a lot more, at the ICW this morning.
You’ve probably already experienced the Tai Chi Dojo on the ground floor of the Academy. It is here that you learn through the experience of your Avatar, and at the same time, learn to perform the Way of Service in another similar dimension. This allows you to become a full Bodhisattva-in-Training without having to give up the Day Job.
There are many more studios here — this is the Ballet/Modern Jazz Dance Workshop Studio.
Here we are at the Reception Area of the Grace L. Ferguson Memorial Hospital for the Spiritually Bewildered. You’ll find lots of helpful Dark Gang here to help you right back into a lower organic rebirth, if you let them do it to you. Of course, you have to agree, but the attractions of organic life are sooooooo seductive, aren’t they???
Mark Twain Comedy Club is on the Academy Level. Here we have Open Mike Nights and all sorts of amateur and professional comics performing for a small, intimate audience of about 24-32 Avatars. There’s a dance floor, but no music. SRO atm.
This is the Grand Theatre, a Proscenium Seating Venue, where you’ll see and hear many performers, including the Lily Nova Theatre Group, Shakespeare’s Players, Opera Fantasies, BardoTown Ice Capades and much, much more.
Claude built a really incredible Bleacher System for the Academy Outdoor Concert Stage, don’t you think? It has room for 100 Avatars in comfortable seating arrangement, and it’s all close to the stage, so you don’t have to watch the concert on the Big TV Screen in the Sky.
FDR Drive Park is a beautiful but dangerous zone. Be careful when walking there. The cars will run you over, and you will die. It’s not my game engine, folks. That’s what happens here when you walk into traffic without looking both ways.
Here’s little Jenny at the Yacht Club — as yet unnamed and unfurnished, awaiting a sponsor, after whom the club will be named.
At the Reception Area, you’ll find one of my Sculpture Assemblages: “Average Americans at a Mariachi Band Park Recital, 1969”. I used to model them in plaster, but now, tiny little dots of colored and shaded light, called “pixels”.
Today you’ll learn how to use a Treasure Chest Donation Thingy (technical term) as a Wishing Well…not to mention the hundreds or dozens of Wishing Wells you’ll find all about… Okay, maybe I’ll put in one.
Psychedelic Balloons await your touch to activate them. There is nothing quite like it.
One last image, then I’m off to breakfast and the ICW, which starts off this Weekend’s Workshop, “MoveAct Code — Control Your Machine”, where we’ll be learning all about this exciting and mysterious and sometimes alarmingly confusing and disorienting Quantum Universe called “Prosperity Ashram”.
