Nest, Burrow & Swarm

Humans do pretty much what other animals do — they nest, burrow and swarm. Reproduction, food harvesting and warfare with other tribes are their main occupation, and in the end, they die without a trace, as if they’d never existed.

Gosh, doesn’t that sound familiar?

How about a t-shirt that reads “Believe it or not, this was once a living creature.”??? That kind of humor goes best on the gallows or in front of the concrete brick wall, which is why I included it in this little dissertation on the subject of Primal Rock Painting, something I sort of re-invented back in 1972, when I was working with Fritz at Cowichan in British Columbia, which I ran for a year following his passing.

“I’ve seen behind Maya,” he announced one day back in 1971, as a result of which, he decided to dismantle and rebuild Gestalt, which never happened, but some part of it survived in the form of “Play Therapy”, a term attributed to several prominent psychologists, all of whom might well have done so — the field was new and wide open to speculation and experiment, and people did.

With our therapy developed out much further, we would have ended up with what we today call “Primal Rock Painting”, about which I’ll endeavor to explain as best I can: Continue reading

Lost Civilizations The Mayans

x
Selfie in front of the famous Mayan Observatory.

The Mayan Civilization first appeared around 8,000 B.C. in the Pre-Classic Period. They were noted for the Mayan Heiroglyphs, the only known writing in the Americas at that time. The Mayan Empire was extensive, its dominion huge, its power and wealth beyond compare, its high civilization lasting over 1,000 years until about 900 A.D. when suddenly, it was gone.

The Urban Legend has it that they vanished overnight. This might have happened elsewhere, but not with the Mayans. They were overcome by internal warfare and political greed.

Their Cosmos was divided into four parts, governed by the Cardinal Compass Points, and their World was divided into three sections, Celestial Sphere, Middle Earth and the Underworld, a vision shared by most early humans — a view commonly shared and held today. Continue reading

Stay in Touch

x
This ancient aircraft at Area 51 was built and flown some 32,000 years ago.

Did you know that you can use a Quantum Entanglement Charm to stay in touch with a loved one? It can be used by anyone, including the dead, and can work absolutely anywhere in any universe and across universes, including what is quaintly referred to as”The Afterlife”, as if there were only one way to get across the Quantum Ocean.

Quantum Entanglement Charms are electro-magnetic, but need no batteries or other outside electrical energy in order to work. They feed directly off the energy transmitted within the radio waves that bombard the Earth from the most distant stars and galaxies, as far back as Population III stars, just after what humans of Planet Earth so incorrectly call “The Big Bang”.

“Big Bang” is easy to say and easy to remember, at least in English, but it’s dead wrong, like free energy. Energy isn’t ever free — it has to come from somewhere, even if that “somewhere” is the Void. Continue reading

Create a Magic Show – Here’s How!

Orm McGill & EJ Gold perform at the Labor Day Convention.

Here’s the breakdown of the effects that are available for a performance. This is not the complete act, as there are about a dozen and a half CLOSEUP effects as well. After you’ve shown mastery of the French Drop by posting a selfie video on youtube or by showing me in person at a workshop that you’ve arrived on the shores of Buddha’s Magic Land, you can learn any of the following effects in whatever order you’d like. The list is ordered according to the difficulty level. Continue reading

Maya the Dance of Illusion

maya

Here’s what I’m working on for release sometime very very soon. This was my first complete 3D game, but was never released, because the technology didn’t allow me to do certain things. Now I can, so here it comes to you in just a few days time. I’ll release it in stages of completion, allowing you to save earlier versions if you like, to see how I develop the levels out. There are a total of 12 levels, seven of them “named levels” with levelups and powerups, and side missions galore. It’s a huge map with lots to explore, and NO straps whatever! It’s all one big map with instant teles ONLY!!!

See You At The Top!!!

MAYA 3 Is Near Completion

http://youtu.be/2FoBsfbTEQI

Well, give me a few hundred more hours and I’ll have her ready to drive. I still haven’t put in some of the misty things and dank, murky, darkened tomb hallways and close, cramped low-ceilinged cut-stone corridors that must be lit by a small lantern, casting only a little circle of light. This level is inspired by a visit to a number of tombs in 1969. I didn’t have to use the photos I snapped — the experience was captured wholesale and put into these eight tough Pre-Columbian tomb settings. Is it retro? Not enough to suit me, but yes, it is — however, many of the effects could not have been produced Back In The Day, so it’s a blend of retro design and very advanced programming. It is a timed game, with timed adventures and puzzles to solve.

Thoughts on Virtual Combat

Alta Rydder is ready for action in GoreBagg’s Dragon 3D 1.08 beta version — this is totally updated and upgraded; it’s mistified and Goddlike. Let me throw a few thoughts out here about virtual combat.

First of all, every character that you as a level-designer plunks thoughtfully down into the level map is real in its own world. You’ve got to get used to that idea or you can’t really write levels. There’s more, much more. Read on…
