New Way to Use Youtube

The playlist is your friend, your ally, your natural partner in the youtube environment.

What you do is, when you first list the video, you click on the appropriate playlist or multiple playlists that apply and would properly describe your video.

A rather fat list of subjects would — and does — look like this, on my ejgoldguru channel:

You can see here that the playlist at the top left is “liked videos”. You can edit all these playlists by going into the “studio” mode and clicking on “playlists”.

In the edit mode you’ll find ways to delete videos from the list, or change the order of videos in general, old to new, popular to totally ignored.

  • LIKED VIDEOS are my own private list of videos that fell into that category, one way or another. Some videos will end up here without your consent, be warned. You can click them away if you don’t want them there. I spend a good deal of my editing time taking these out as they unwantedly make their way into the list.
  • ANIMATED GREENSCREENS will give you a choice of quite a few animated backdrops — 27 of them at the moment — for your greenscreen applications.
  • FASHIONISTA is a collection of just a few fashion-related videos, of course, and there’s room for a few more besides what’s there already.
  • GALAXY SCIENCE FICTION is a short collection of sci-fi related material, more to follow.
  • GOLD PANNING sports a collection of 11 gold panning experiences and instructionals.
  • THE MOVEMENTS provides a 16 video collection of movements-related videos, with many more to come as time permits.
  • PUPPETS & VENTRILOQUISM is a short collection, only eight videos at the moment, of puppetry and vent doll information and performance hints.
  • FOOD & DRINK — Just six videos at the moment, but one of them is a reveal stove-side demonstration of just how it is that I make those incredible omelettes, a secret imparted to me by the omelette chef at Musso & Frank’s Grill on Hollywood Blvd. back in 1967 — my shop was just around the corner, and it’s where I had lunch every day.
  • ZEN FLUTE — A compendium of 24 videos related to the Zen flute recorders that I play for meditation music in the ashram.
  • MEDITATION is a whalloping stack of 74 videos that you’ll spend some time wading through — I did, and they’re pretty darn good. I think you’ll like them.
  • METEORITES — Just four videos at the moment, but I’ll put up more as I have time.
  • TAROT CARDS — This fell through the cracks. I’ll get some videos up on the tarot deck designer tips as soon as I can.
  • FAST DRAW & GUN-TWIRLING contains 12 fun videos for old-timers like myself to stay in shape by drawing and flipping and twirling two dumbells shaped exactly like a pair of Colt .45 Peacemakers — they are in fact the same weight & balance, making weight-lifting easy and fun!
  • SPIRIT HEALING has 107 videos in it, but don’t panic — they can all be viewed in sequence just by letting the playlist roll on. You don’t even have to be there.
  • REINCARNATION & REBIRTH is a group of 85 videos related to death & dying, transition and rebirthing.
  • VIDEO GAMES has 57 related items in it, all of which I think you’ll find of profound personal interest.
  • ANGEL CONTACT is a group of 14 videos about angels and angel contact, showing methods.
  • EASY MAGIC TRICKS is a collection of 23 magic tricks that YOU can do without a whole lot of training and sleight of hand practice, but not so easy that you can do them without ANY practice at all. Nothing is like that.
  • ASTRAL PROJECTION has a full complement of 35 videos about astral projection, out of body experiences and separation from the organic. I’ll put up more, if there’s interest evinced in any way, shape or form.
  • COINOLOGY is a presentation of 42 videos about coins, coin collecting, coin trading and coin jewelry making.
  • BARDO has 25 Afterlife-related adventures in video experience awaiting your pleasure.
  • GUITALELE features my little six-stringed ukelele and my voice — you’ll get over it.
  • KARAOKE means I sang, danced or otherwise made an idiot of myself in front of a youtube on my large screen. Make of it what you will, it’s fun for me on occasion.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA — 182 videos just on the subject of you. Who would’a thought???
  • QUANTUM is a short list of 16 videos on the subject.
  • MUSIC is a largish category of mostly performance with a little exposition thrown in here and there, to a total of 232 and growing daily.
  • JEWELRY is a collection of 162 videos which mostly contain the secrets of jewelry making that I’ve been collecting for over 7 trillion trillion years, and I hope you make a ton of fabulous Objects of Personal Adornment.
  • GUITAR LESSONS WITH EJ GOLD — 107 of them, most of which I can hardly remember doing, but I must have — there they are.
  • METAL EMBOSSING — a bigly bunch of 92 videos all designed to help you get hooked on metal embossing not only as a side-hustle, but as a Way of Life.
  • DIDGE HEALING is a collection of 34 healing videos that might help, and can be played as a continuous loop for hours at a time.
  • DRUMMING CLASSES — Here you have 37 video lessons and demos on percussion drumming. Want more? You have but to ask.
  • ART — Only 95 videos related to art at the moment, but the number will grow as we progress through the work year.
  • ONLINE WORKSHOPS — An amazing 178 videos, most of which you need to see right away.
  • ZEN FLUTE PERFORMANCE — Only five videos so far — working on it, will give performances as I’m able, from home, of course.
  • BEACONS & MORE — 78 videos, all SuperBeacon related, for your edification.
  • BETA BLOCKER AMULETS — Here are 54 videos about amulets and their application.
  • PARALLEL WORLDS — 104 videos on this subject alone.
  • MY TOP FAVORITES — Here are my top ten.
  • FAVORITES — 21 videos for your attention and interest.
  • MY FAVE RAVES — Only three so far.
  • EJ GOLD SHORTS — 13 videos in this pile at the moment.

So using the PLAYLIST function, you can search through the videos by subject matter, more or less as you’d leaf through a library catalog.

Treat each of these as a book, and each video as a chapter, and you’ll get the idea.

You may or may not have noticed the upgrades in the channel, and I’m working every night to further improve it.

There are some 1600 videos on there, and I’ve taken down several hundred that didn’t measure up, and I’ll be taking down some more, not many more, but some, until the fat is trimmed.

I wouldn’t call 1600 videos “slim & sleek”, but it’s a lot less cumbersome now than it was. Organic growth needs some pruning now & then, and this was the time, Kato.

Okay, that’s it. Back to work on my channel until breakfast time, followed by the ICW, at which I hope I will you see.
