What is The Minehead?
Put simply, it’s an idea worth a million dollars, an idea that sprang from my friend Mike’s “See in 3 dimensions” device that he had mounted on a tripod back in 1955. He charged 25 cents to look through it at a completely different world. Just two heavy tubes mounted on a tripod. It really works, and it paid for a lot of theater tickets and extra candy & popcorn.
Now look through a wide-wing feather woven into a special dreamweaver twig circlet. You’ll be able to see right through people, just like looking at them with an x-ray machine.
Are these tricks, or are they real? The answer to THAT question is always “yes”.
Now imagine 3 sheets of 4’x8′ hardwood-skinned plywood. Cut two of them into 2’x8′ pieces, and one of the resulting 2’x8’s into 2’x4’s.
You should have a box that looks like this:
The next step is to cut a viewing hole on one of the wider, 4’x8′, sides, thusly:
You will see about fifty feet of wormhole, at the end of which is a similar door to the one through which you are looking. If you withdraw from the box, you’ll note that it’s only two feet deep, yet you see clearly at least fifty feet of tunnel, and it’s not a video image, not a screen image, not a hologram any more than anything you’re seeing right now.
It’s the weirdest goddam effect you will EVER experience, with one singular exception — “The Infinity Cube”, a DIRECT EXPERIENCE OF INFINITY — it’s a thing I can’t afford to build right now, but that everyone should sit inside, and experience, at least once in this lifetime.
I could build one and ship it to your home dimension, if you like. Price? Haven’t priced it out, but my guess is, horribly expensive, but equally worth every penny. It is, really, the most amazing experience you will EVER have in all of time and space.
When using the Portal, how do you get from where you are to the space you can see through the wormhole, behind the far door?
This device can be made lightweight and transportable, so it can function as a kiosk in a mall, or be brought to a high place where there’s a natural rotating magnetic field — called a “vortex”.
Our gold claim is on a natural vortex, so even if we didn’t operate it as a claim, we would want to set up a Minehead with a natural wormhole and a high level of dense metal such as gold below us.
There’s nothing better than a sea of pure gold to power an interdimensional device of this sort.
Inter-Dimensional Travel can be achieved with The Minehead. You CAN get through the wormhole and through the far doorway, but … how exactly do you do that?
More importantly, how do you know where to go, why to go there and not stay here, how to set the dials to go there, or where exactly were you before, and where exactly did you go?
In short, where were you before, and where are you now?
