Two things, in specific, were asked for at this weekend’s ICW * if you still don’t know what an ICW is, ask. So, anyhow, the two things that were asked for are:
A Coinology Workshop on Thanksgiving Weekend, including Thanksgiving Dinner with The Works, but served on Saturday night, so we can all share. Coin Zen and Zen Basics will be shown, and you’ll have a chance to improve your coinology skills.
An eBay setup for Coinology Sellers. No problem. I’ve listed a modest number of coins in slabs. You can get full online coinology sets and deals from me and post them on eBay or sell locally. Note that my coin products all specify a guarantee of authenticity, in writing, permanently affixed to the coin flip. I stand behind my coins 100%.
I can strongly recommend coinology as a Zen practice and also as a means of adding a bit of income to a personal income weakened by the Great Recession, as they’re calling it these days, at least until the breadlines form.
My prices on reseller deals are strictly based on grey sheet dealer prices, which means there’s plenty of room for a fair markup. I will ship raw coins or prepare them in slabs if you prefer. In that case, I perform a grading evaluation expressed as “G-VG” or “GEM BU”. If you order the preprint slabs, they’re arranged for you in the slab holder sheets, and pre-priced, so you don’t have to guess. Of course, the prices marked will be retail; you pay half. That’s the biggest markup you’ll get in the coin biz. How can I do that? I actually think I might not be able to do it too long operating at or near a loss, but I want to get you started, so I’m giving as big a break as I can without actually going into loss-mode.
You’ll note that some of my eBay listings are for fairly cheap items. In a short while, I’ll be listing very serious coins for sale, some in a 24 hour or even a 1 hour auction. We’ll see how the wind blows and steer from there.
